1 – the symbol of supremacy.
The number one also symbolizes God.
In my marriage, I made the “egregious mistake”* of making my husband my god. I gave him supremacy status. He was my idol. I put his needs above my own. His thoughts, his feelings would be of the utmost importance in my life. That meant what he thought/said about me took priority over anything else. I gave him all my power. He abused that power. And being the malignant narcissist he was, I didn’t even see it coming. Because, of course, it didn’t start out with physical abuse.
Domestic Violence is about power and control.
Don’t make a person your god.
For me there can only be one God and that is now who I serve.
Who are you putting in supremacy status in your life?
Domestic violence not only affects those who are abused, but also has a substantial effect on family members, friends, co-workers, other witnesses, and the community at large. Children, who grow up witnessing domestic violence, are among those seriously affected by this crime. Frequent exposure to violence in the home predisposes children to numerous social and physical problems.

I am thankful to God for giving me another chance. I could’ve died when I was being choked.
