Pasadena Church Will End Their Second Annual Community Family Reunion at La Pintoresca Park the Same Month Anthony McClain was Slain
Pasadena, CA – Pastor Kerwin Manning of Pasadena Church was a constant presence for the community after Anthony McClain’s funeral in 2020. The Community Family Reunion is Pasadena Church’s way of giving back to the community of Pasadena. This is the second year the church has been going to select parks in Pasadena the fourth Sunday of the summer months. The Sunday Service in the park includes worship music, food, a bounce house for the kids; bicycle, grocery and gas card giveaways along with free clothes and food boxes to take away. The giveaways average: 10 bikes, 60 food boxes, $800 in grocery cards and 1 Gold’s Gym membership per event.
Much like the presence in La Pintoresca Park in 2020, churches and anyone else are invited to partner with Pasadena Church in this act of loving on the community. First Baptist Church of Pasadena has signed on to provide snow cones for the August 27th date and bike donations continue to roll in.
This year’s Community Family Reunion started June 25th at Jackie Robinson Park, July 23rd at Victory Park and will conclude August 27th at La Pintoresca Park across the street from Anthony McClain’s memorial.
